This is one of the few T style guitars I have completely built. I used my carved through headstock design and a "carved flame" body. Look close, the flames are actually carved into the body! However this on only one of three bodies I made that have a tummy and forearm contour ! And the flames are carved over the curve. This requires alot of extra work. Pics at the bottom show the carving procedure.
These candy metalflake colors really come alive under the lights! This paint looks a mile deep with it's multiple coats of clear Poly topcoat and transparent candy apple colors and really sparkles! It is color sanded flat and polished to an ultra high gloss that is mirror smooth and looks like polished glass. Pictures can only show you so much, it's so much more alive in person. Because of it's brilliance Metalflake is very hard to photograph. Please excuse the flash any subtle distortions in the pictures- these are just reflections. This paint job is definitely one of my most favorite and most popular. It's flash is like the most custom chopper you have ever seen and is guaranteed to turn heads.
To start with the pickups are Fender Custom shop "Texas Specials" They are wired in both series and parallel via a 4 way switch. The bridge has compensated saddles to help in the tuning and sperzel supplied the staggered locking tuners. The neck came from Stew Mack and I carved the headstock.
